“I came into Hamden rehabilitation with a torn ACL, serious pneumonia and pulmonary issues, and a broken spirit… by the time I left, my pneumonia was basically history.
My ACL was not operated on prior to discharge, but due to the fine work by the physical therapists at Hamden, I left much stronger in every area, including my left leg and ACL area. Their staff expertly handled my constant need for antibiotics and breathing treatments. There were so many good people involved in my rehabilitation that it would be impossible to remember all of their names!
That being said, I would like to throw a shout out to Nurse Vicky and Nurse Vinny. They seemed to anticipate every need that popped into my head. And they both had good senses of humor. When I saw that either one of them would be working with me, I knew I was in great hands.
I highly recommend Hamden Rehabilitation for either short-term or long-term stays. In fact, when I get my leg operated on during the next month, I plan on going back there, for sure. The doctors, nursing aides, food prep staff members, and janitors were great. I wish I could name them all! Thank you again!”
